Shoulder

The shoulder is one of the most mobile joints in the body and can have a large range of motion because of how the joint is structured. It has many tendons and muscles that allow this movement to occur. An injury to the rotator cuff can commonly occur and cause pain in the night or pain when trying to move the arm specially lifting above the head. These injuries can occur in athletes such as swimmers, golfers and tennis players. It can occur due to manual labor or even repetitive movements. Referred pain from internal organs can also be felt as shoulder pain. Physical therapy can be very effective for rotator cuff injuries but sometimes surgery and PT is needed. At Millennium Medical and Rehab we are committed to help you recover from your shoulder injury and increase your range of motion and reduce pain.
